I started playing around with the lightmapping features 1 through 4 and am wondering why some entities below other entities are not receiving a cast shadow on them. Perhaps I am not fully understanding how it works or if this is possible. Does this have to do with a shader issue? Or is it because not all entities have normal and spec maps (yet) and are required in order to for shadow effects to work on them? The entities appear to glow out of the shadows.



Another question I have, is how do you delete the information from a lightmap process? There seems to be no way to undo this process from a map after it has already been applied.

While it's not documented.It can easily be done.

Start the lightmapping process, and soon as it starts the first light map, press escape to cancel light mapping, back in the editor save the map on another name, viola.
