Which teleporter script are you using?
You can open the script in notepad.exe and look to see if the destroy command is in use. That would mean as soon as the script got to that point it would destroy the object holding the script, making the script terminate.
Removing the script would keep the outgoing teleport object active. You would just need to restart the script.
