Greetings
Trying out the new build for first time. Been traveling for work and this is my first opportunity (I use a Mac for work).

1 - Audio - I use soundinau.lua (not customized) to trigger audio as player approaches certain places in most of my levels - with new build when launching test level they all play at start - an in-comprehensible cacophony - (audio files and script are attached to entities and not placed close to each other - in fact as far apart as possible in map ie N.S,E,W as the compass goes). Also they are set to spawn at the appropriate time (alwayson=no).

Worked beautifully till now.

2 - Abysmal frame rate - previous build - average 60 fps - big level with over 1000 entities - now it is down to 12 overall and even lower when character animations kick for example. Through-out map things only spawn as required and are destroyed soon after so that they don't linger on map sucking up resources.

My system;
Win 10 Pro x64
Core i7 - 5820K CPU @3.30GHz
GeForce GTX 960
32GB RAM
Driver 364.51

Super as I've been reading the forums while away and was very excited to try the new build.
I am traveling again tomorrow but will be reading replies on the forum as always. GG Forum is home away from home.

Also, have done the obligatory file verification.
Thanks

Has anyone else seen a drop from 60 fps down to 12 fps on their large custom levels? I have measured no significant change in FPS between V1.121 and V1.13 and indeed most of the changes did not directly affect performance that I can determine, so I am suspecting its something specific to your level rather than the software in general. Can you send me your FPM and project files so I can see the 12 fps (and maybe a build of your standalone too), it could be something in your scripts is causing a huge drain on performance that's not common to the sample levels that come with the product. My direct email address is lee@thegamecreators.com Thanks!

Can you confirm the script your using .... I use soundinau.lua ?
That's not stock ..

Personally I haven't notices any drop at all .... If anything it feels smoother and more solid especially since the AI has been improved ..

I use that script to for sound and its working ok here on the new build.

@Isagabe - Check the shadow slider in the tab tab menus in test game, even if it is set on 1 it kills my framerate on my levels, the one im working on now has close to 1500 entities in it. My FPS goes from around 56 to 60fps ( i have vsync on) to around 12 - 17fps with shadows on.

Thanks lee. Mail sent

@synchromesh - yes it is soundinau.lua (un-edited) and it's probably conflicting with my sloppy code elsewhere on the map. I can't code but I try.
@tarkus1971 - I'll mess around with that. Thanks.

@synchromesh; my apologies it is soundbinau.lua. Custom script kindly posted on the forum. Can't seem to find it now. Search function comes up empty. I have it in my scriptbank folder.

Ahh Thought so ..... No worries
I just checked with Myke and he confirmed its not stock so its probably something in the script that the new build doesn't like ..
Myke thinks he got his from Tarkus1971 so it might be worth a PM to see if he can look at whats changed .

The script is from devcore I believe. Its part of the 3D Sound Zone posted here:

I have used it before, but not on this version of GG. I will test it when I get a chance/

I may have a better one here ....
Try this one .... Just attach it to a sound zone or entity.... and add a sound effect or music ....
As you move closer or away it fades in and out

Synchromesh - does this script work on entities also? I will download anyway. I do use devcores script and it works really really well for me. Off work today, damn chest infection, all I can do here is use GG, too much coughing, might records some coughs and use as sound effects

cool thanks synchro. Trying to write a set of scripts here to stop the player being able to grab keys and guns etc through walls.
