Hello! I have written a somewhat heavier game and when you run it it always tells me "low fps detected". Is there any way to activate the lower settings by default, so it'll activate the fps optimization by default?

In the setup.ini file in the Game Guru root folder, edit this in Notepad while Game Guru is shut down and change this line:
disabledynamicres = 0

To

disabledynamicres = 1

Save the file and then restart Game Guru.

Hi,

Thanks for your reaction. Sadly, it did not seem to work. In standalone games it still pops up with that same message "Low FPS detected". I attached a screenshot of the message, just for clarification.

Thanks! That works!

Also, how do I make the game start at lowest graphics settings? And are there more settings in setup.ini I could use to improve performance?

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Look at the visual.ini file in the files/levelsbank folder of the standalone build and edit these lines at the top.
visuals.shaderlevels.terrain=3
visuals.shaderlevels.entities=3
visuals.shaderlevels.vegetation=3

3 should be the lowest settings, and then the player can raise it up by pressing Esc in game and adjusting the sliders.

What is the poly count of your level? About how many objects are in it? Did you happen to remove physics for objects that the player or AI will never get to? (trees and plants and border stuff)

Have you light mapped this level?

There may be ways to get the performance up for you.

What are you machine specifications and graphics card?

Thanks.
