So, I'm back, took a break with Gameguru in hopes of a fix with this long lasting problem I've been having.

In a nutshell, I am trying to create (well for now, test) an indoor zombie shooter (a hallway, a few rooms, ideal horror house) all indoors. I place a start marker and a zombie at the end of the hallway. Collision on the x file works ok, zombie recognizes me, but does not walk towards me, it walks away to the wall and does not turn around to attack (it does attack if I walk in front of it).

I've shot this dumb [ MOD EDIT ] so many times and told him to turn around, never does (<--------that was meant to be humorous).

So, anywho, does anyone have a work around with this? Anyone have the same problem?

Are you using a custom model ... or what hallways are you using ?
Make sure forcesimpleobstacle = 3 is included in the fpe files

Yes it's a custom model (x file), I'll give it a shot.

I think it has something to do with the terrain. I lowered the terrain (so water is showing) with the custom 'level' model above the water, and the zombie just stands there.

That wont work at the moment .... Until the AI update NPC's will only work on ground level ..

But the zombies should still be able to run on custom floors right?

yes but the terrain must be just under the floor and the floor must have forcesimpleobstacle = 3 in the fpe file. (buildings/doorways etc too, anything that includes walk-able floor)

you can have water outside by lowering the terrain on the areas not walked on but if you want water inside you will need to use decals.

Actually, problem solved! Thank you so much! That command was exactly what I was missing! The zombie now runs towards me, now I'm in business.
