Just noticed this wonderful piece of work, in a game called Allison Road. It appeared on my newsfeed on Facebook and it kind of surprised me with how realistic it looks. I'm wondering what about it makes it look so good? Is it possible to achieve such visuals in GG? The lighting, shadows, softness and sharpness of the model edges all look really good. The camera handling is also quite smooth.

I've started using bond1's shaders from FPSC in GG and I was pleased to find out that a few of them actually do work. Is there anything we can do to improve our graphics in our GG games to reach this type of quality? It seems we'll need plenty more material shaders.

In FPSC-10 we had shaders very similar to the ones used in this game's windows. For refraction effects and things like that.

@Teabone

Great game but Is that actually an engine or fmv coded ?
like you can do with a 360 camera ... and quicktime ?
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

It seems to be done in unreal but I'm unsure how this technique was pulled off

Probably not in all honesty. you could pre-bake some stuff I suppose, but no, GG is not up to this quality as yet. Perhaps when DX11 support is added; I'd be surprised if we have that before Xmas though. Unreal isn't the most popular game dev tool for nothing you know
