Hey Bod, i noticed in the video above at one point you explain the following:
Quote: "Because the origin has to be at the pivot point GameGuru has trouble selecting the door so you have to rubber band it to reselect once placed in a level"
Just thought i'd let you know that the origin point does not have to be at the pivot point when animating with blender, it can be any were on the model.
Instead of rotating it around the origin point, place your 3D cursor at the point you want it to pivot, then switch your translation mode to 3D cursor and rotate around the 3D cursor while keying your animations, that way you can have the origin point wherever you want.
