Hi,
I install GG new for a fresh development base and now I have a problem. Always when I start GG I see the Quick Start Video from Rick, after that I get the video choose screen, but I can not choose a video or close the window. If I place a marker in the scene, the videos disappear. If I start the testgame, I get an error Object 1000 missing.

It is a fresh install with 5 checks for files.

Please Help

Try going into the Game Guru root folder and change the contents of tutorialstartup.ini file to say 1

Thanks, but this just disabled the video playing. The video choose screen is still there and can not be closed. And the error Object 1000 missing is also still there.

Ok, now the video screen is away too, but the missing file error is even after the 10th files verification still there. Also my player is not controllable, the testgame reacts on no input(maybe because the error message)

Error Message:
Object Number Not Found: 1000

May I see a screen shot of this error. almost sounds like a virus program is quarantining the files.

I see you installed GameGuru new, but this was running on your machine before.
Is this a new operating system for you also?

How about admin mode or windows compatibility mode, to win 8.

Just trying to figure out what happened to cause you to install it completely again.

Object 1000 is usually the player (internal ID I thought).

Can you give your self permissions in the gameguru folder

Right mouse click on the GameGuru folder and choose properties. Under the security tab, make sure that the user everyone has Full control access to this folder and all within it.

No, I switched my antivir off.

It runs fine before. It is the same operating system, same pc, just a update from microsoft and I have now 16gb ram instead 8gb

Error still there.

I do this with all my IDEs. If I start a project I make a fresh install of the IDE.

you have me scratching my head on this one.

Let me point this thread up to tech support and see if they can give me a clue as to what the issue may be.
Not sure I will get an answer over the weekend, hit or miss.

I deleted all files(steam deinstall + manual delete of gg folder), so I downloaded all files again including dlcs.

I will do it again. Maybe something went wrong.

Ok, the error is now away, but now something strange happens, GG does not react on my keyboard or mouse input anymore. Neither in Testame nor Standalone.

Here is a small level, please test if it works for you:

Ok that one worked fine for me ?
Loaded up and ran without a problem .... Its just a blank map yes ... all keys forward, back, crouch , jump all working

Is this also a fresh install of windows ?
If its windows 10 can you ensure your fonts are set to 100 %

Right click on your desktop ..Select "Display settings"
Ensure the slider is set to 100% ( all the way to the left )

No, it is nearly the same as everything worked

Checked, it is to 100%

It is the only program that not want to accept my keyboard or mouse input. I also plug it in and out. Nothing works, I tried 2 mouses and 2 keyboards. Same result.

I was at the public preview and go back to the normal update. This is all I changed! Is there any stored values besides the GG folder?

Ok the problem is this update from microsoft: KB3140743
I deinstalled it and it works.
