Hello,

a future idea: A Weapon Creator.
Similar to the Character Creator

--> This one for weapons, especially for guns:

- choosing the mesh of the gun / 1st Person mesh
- choosing the ammonition type
- choosing how much shots a cartrige of the Ammo holds
- choosing the prjectile, that is fired (Bullet, Flare,...)
- choosing the sound when fired
- choosing fire rate
- choosing alternative fire (f.e. burst, or granades)
- saving as an own name

What do You think abaout this idea?

I didnĀ“t like the idea of an weapon creator. Characters ok, but weapons are designed and not some pieces stuck together. To create a new weapon, you need a lot of creativity. Try to think about a new weapon, for example scifi. It is damn hard. So it is better to get a complete designed weapon than some parts you can add how you like. I even think it is not possible to mix two weapons even when from the same typ(not a pistol with a mp) and get a good result. Mix a ACR and an AUG. That is nonsense. And then all possible animations must also fit together.

It is a great idea, but no one would use it, because the results are standart weapons or trash.

My little opinion (hope I sound not too rude)
My dream is to develope games, which makes fun when I create it and fun when other people play it.

@Corno_1: Thank You for Your point of view. You dont sound too rude
My intention is not to mix different guns like a pistol with a M16.

let it put me that way:

- take the Mesh of an AK47
- choose a different Projectile, that is fired: a kind of Plasma-Ball or Flare
- choose a different sound when firing
- setting up the value of Damage, that cases the impact
- choose a kind of impact (Bullethole, explosion, etc.)
- choosing f.e. an alternative fire mode
- setting the value of the cost of the gun
- asigning the Mesh of the Ammo
- entering an amount, that each cartrige is carrying

--> Saving the gun and the ammo

-->>> You got a new, individual weapon

What do You think about this?

Take the ak47 gunfolder and make a copy, (i talk about the gunspec.txt all the time)
Then:
1) place this in

finsih
2) replace all fire.wav (fire1.wav,fire2.wav,...) with your sound. Free gun sounds are everythere on the internet.(look for the licence)
3) change "damage= 35" to your damage
4) same as 2)
5) Not know how this is handled in GG, but the program must know which weapon you modify and the place the correct adapter. Not really a usefull thing. They could easily release the gun with modi without an extra gun creator
6) Has nothing to do with the gun, instead it is completly scripting
7) change this "brass= 45" to a number which is also in this folder Game Guru\Files\gamecore\brass
8) change "reloadqty = 7" to any number you want.

sounds like a request for a visual gunspec editor, perhaps?

Very good idea to choose different parts of weapon, like (medal of honor Warfighter)

modules
arms
barrels
etc

And users can buy weapon parts in GG store. For example.
But is very hard to realise, may be problems with the mesh of hands and weapon. Changes with weapons (new arms for example), must not interfere weapon animations. And player hands position on weapon.
New parts (holder for example) must be simmilar to standart parts
And good idea to change weapon position on screen in realtime.
