Hey all,

I have a model that looks fine up close, but when viewed from a distance has white lines showing up all over it. I have reworked the uv's several times, and have as minimal cuts as I think I can get, and there is plenty room between parts of the uv. Also I am using DXT1 - RGB 4 bpp - no alpha for D, N and S dds flles.

I have been banging my head all day trying to solve this problem, and would really appreciate some pointers from the veterans.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You will need the texture to bleed into the edges, this is a result of mipmapping...

Thanks fort he help wizard of id, got it all working now. The problem was just something silly I did in photoshop!

Your suggestion led me on some research regarding mip mapping, and somewhere in that search I came accross a discussion about texture bleeding and photoshop plugins and whatever, but that led me to my own silly mistake of placing a cutout of my texture islands over the top (just to make it look good - yeah I know it is just a uv lol) which was causing the issue, Phew !!

Thanks again.
