I am looking to convert a hefty amount of 3d game assets I've created for my various projects over the years. While I've had success roughly converting quite a few already, through trial and error; I would love for Lee or another developer to assist me by posting the following information:

When making or converting character/entity models; What is the preferred/optimal file format? Example: .Fbx
Same question goes for animations. What is the optimal format to use?

Are there polygon limitations?

Any information would help.

I am looking to create top notch assets for the community as a personal project.
I plan on making AA resources for the GameGuru community.
