I've added a set of basic medieval weapons to the store. There are 10 at the moment, which is a decent starting point, but since the arms are completely different to the stock GameGuru arms, ideally there should be a few more, so I will be adding to it. If anyone has any requests, let me know here or via pm and I'll see what I can do (nothing too elaborate though - the stock medieval weapons are a bit too elaborate in my opinion).
I've also done a set of female textures, which can be downloaded here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/yi8udd7v40nzsi7/female%20textures.zip?dl=0.
I've included instructions on how to add them, but it is fairly complicated so if you have any issues let me know.

I must say that I am not too crazy about the retrieve and putaway animations (still better than what I can do) but other than that: Splendid work!!
A nice selection as well. Makes me wish I could animate like this

I wish you many sales!!

Looks really good, i'll definitely be getting it.

As Wolf said, the animations are a bit off, especially with the two handed weapons, the left hand is actually bending in the wrong direction to how it would actually bend, when wielding a two handed weapon most f the time the wrist and hand would remain straight and as you raise It or lower it the wrist would bend slightly left or right, not back or forwards, if you know what I mean.

Apart from that it's a very good set of weapons.

You are right about the retrieve and put away animations (two handed weapons present a special set of problems when animating with a standard biped rig), so I'll have a look at fixing those.

I've redone the select/put away animations on the longsword, halberd and axe (the katana looked fine), so those three models are awaiting approval again. Barring any unforeseen hiccups, they (and the pack as a whole) should be available again by the weekend (at worst, early next week).

The pack is back online, and I've also added 5 new weapons - battle axe, cleaver, demon sword, ebony bow and studded club. These models are awaiting approval - when they are approved, I'll add them to the pack and put the price of the pack up a bit, so if you are planning to get the pack, you should do it before the price goes up.

i've watched this many times while deciding if i want to purchase and i feel the animations are a bit slow or not like they are really being swung with any real effort for most of them, like they stop too early or something.
it might just be me but the halberd especially is supposed to be a heavy weapon, you don't just poke the enemies with them (it reminds me of a badly used spear)
for all weapons i think you need to follow through with the side swing a bit more or angle the weapon towards the target more, watch the swords and you see they dont really look like they connect?
the overhead attack animation is good though

sorry, not trying to be rude (hopefully constructive criticism) and of course these are much better than anything i could personally do but i would like to purchase them but i feel they just need a little more impact.

@smallg - I'll see what I can do, although I'm sure I really get what you're saying (difficult to articulate something like a sword swing ).

Nice looking weapons Gtox.
HP Pavilion Laptop, AMD A8-4555M APU with Radeon(tm) Graphics HD Graphics 1.6GHz, 8GB Memory, 64 Bit Operating System (Windows 10), 1 TB Hard Drive.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

i have the cleaver and i like it a lot but i would recommend adjusting the soundframe0 to
Quote: "sframe0 = 44,1"
, this way it only plays the sound effect once per attack, small but i think it sounds much nicer and matches the 'alt' mode.

thanks for the cool weapon

Thanks smallg, that does make a difference. Regarding the general animations - one of the problems with first person melee is that because the camera is fixed, you lose the upper body movement. Any shoulder movement, as well as leaning forwards and backwards, is lost. Since most melee weapon use involves some upper body movement, the combat can feel a little flat, since you're only moving the arms. You also can't move the arms too far forward as you run the risk of exposing the cut off point of the upper arm (especially if you've increased the FOV). These two factors really limit the animations you can do with first person melee. I do plan to add more weapons, so when I do those I'll have a look at the animations and see if there's any way to improve them.
Thanks for the feedback.

Another 5 weapons added to the pack - carving knife, spiked mace, zweihander, short sword and iron halberd. There are 20 weapons in the pack now - I aim to stop at 25.

Added the last 5 weapons to the pack (25 in total). Broadsword, Dragon staff, Rusty knife, Scythe and Wizard's staff (technically the two staves are not medieval, but what the heck). The two staves use the default fireball effect, and are compatible with the fantasy wizard characters.

- I have a modelling style!? I'm going to print and frame that post and stick it on my wall

@scienceboy - let me know when you're going to buy it - I'll put the pack on a one-day special for you.

@Honkeyboy - thanks, it'll be good when we can create our own projectiles for these types of weapon.
