Downloaded an played around with it literally minutes after it was released. VERY good work, it's an awesome pack, and well worth getting while it's on sale for the first week.

My only gripe with it is the awful "Scottish" voice acting in the demo

In all seriousness though, the only thing I had an issue with was the characters, I know we've been after neutral characters for ages, but the armour says combat and they don't work as combat characters, even if you use a soldier script on them.

Oh, also noticed the red marines limbs aren't quite right, you can shoot them in the head as much as you want and they don't flinch, move down a bit and shoot them between the neck and chest and they drop in one hit.

Apart from that an excellent pack, some really great models.

Will probably never make a sci-fi game but just had to download this (in fact I bought the pack for the ground rock cluster models). If this is an indication of how future packs will be put together can't wait to see what you guys put together next. A detailed modern warfare pack? Great work.

There won't be any more DLC's, Lee told us that in his blog, however there will be TGC packs in the store, just not large ones like the DLC's.

How do I use my steam keys to get this SCIFI pack. When I go through the process of getting it, I only see the option to buy it through PayPal.

Thanks.

Thinking about it, it might not have been in his blog, it was last night when GG did a small update I clicked the read updates button in the steam pop up and it took me to a page where information about the scifi dlc was listed and at the bottom of that Lee spoke about making DLC's and how in future there won't be full DLC's but more frequent small packs.

I wonder if the drones/weapons that were shown previously in the blog will be an update to this DLC or something separate/small pack?

Make a copy of the fpe and bmp with say 'Space Marine Blue (armed)' as the names and update the new fpe with say (assuming you have the free Futuretek weapon):

Then will work OK with the soldier script. Not sure why there aren't 'armed' versions provided by default - possibly because the new sci-fi weapons aren't in yet?

Cheers.

Good point, I've the same question.
Even in My steam key list, there is not scifi pack in the "product name" list, but Game Guru (5 times, I do not understand why?), megapack3, desert valley, fantasy pack, buildings pack, ignore if this is the list of produts I already own, or this is the list of products I can buy with those keys.

If this mean the list of products I already own, this mean I've bought GameGuru 5 times?
Otherwise this mean I can buy GameGuru 5 times?

Both would be understable. Another option could be that I'm missing something here.

That list is products you own, we wouldn't list Steam keys for things you don't own. The reason you have multiple GameGuru keys is because you were given extra as part of your FPSCR pledge.

I tried that, I think the FIRESPOT is missing as the weapons are invisible and the blast comes out of their chest.

I think Lee mentioned either in his blog or twitch that there would be updated scripts to come for these characters specifically ...
I just cannot seem to find that information at the moment ?

Yeah something's odd about the blogs and news lately, I had the same with the info i mentioned about no more large DLC's but small packs instead, it was there, i found it easily by clicking the updates link in steam, and now i just can't find it. I've had that happen a few times lately, i'm almost positive i read something and then suddenly i can't find it anywhere, weird.

Sorry to say this again but a lot of posts have come along since. Is there any way of buying the SCIFI DLC with my steam points and if so how.

Thanks

Hi all,

What i did was, open up character creator, took the same body parts. example alien. give him a gun and saved. and then i have the alien with the ubersoldier animations. try the same for the others, and that worked.

Purchased a steam key, I show the Paypal payment got taken out but it's not actually given me a steam key.
The website crashed on the last phase with a 'swift' error.

Been waiting all month for this kit to come out with baited breath and now this

Nice!...I believe Lee himself did the voice acting and therefore the accent would be closer to Welsh, maybe he tried to put on his best Sean Connery and hit Billy Connolly instead

You need to get over that cos if it weren't for the guy with the awful Scottish accent Star Trek would have taken place in the Solar system.

Yikes! If it was meant to be Welsh that's even worse! I'm Welsh myself, it's not even close

Lol, he lives in Wigan (or may be from there) so it may be a cross bred accent, I reckon all the same he went for a 'Scotty: "The dilithium crystals cannae take it Captain" type of vibe

Being Scottish I thought he was going for 'Welsh' you being Welsh thought it was 'Scottish' so we'll settle for 'Hollywood'...lol.

LOL!

Actually i'm only part Welsh (I was born in Barry, Wales), but, on my fathers side my grandmother is Welsh and my grandfather is Irish (American Irish, but still as much a paddy as the rest as he used to say, he also used to say my grandmother was a scot that couldn't swim lol), on my mothers side her dad is Scottish and her mother was from Somerset, so you could say i'm a true Gaelic Briton

The temple is a bit tall for the light mapper to handle it properly. This is being worked on.

Could one of the team please explain how to use one of the Steam Keys in my account to obtain the new SciFi pack, assuming that's what they were intended for.

Cheers

The SCIFI DLC temple will be updated in the next update to the pack contents (including new assets you'll be pleased to hear) (unlike my pretend Scottish/Irish/Welsh accent which you will probably never want to hear ever again) We may replace some of the voices with real voice actors at some point, but for now I hope you enjoyed the level and it provides a good incentive to do [much] better

I really liked the demo level, and your voice acting was one of the best parts! I vote for more Lee voiceover clips for random moments of interstellar radio chatter

Out of curiosity, who did the other voices?
