hi there! i was just wondering when i built together mykes street pack that two objects that take their texture from the same source are looking different in the editor. in the fpe files of both i can see that everything is exactly the same just the model and the name are different. i have seen this with several objects like signs before. how can i change this?

edit: in testgame it's the same but it doesn't look so hard as in the editor (second screenshot)

Something about the normals on those objects. I probably would slice that object up if I redid them. and make it smaller. Those large objects had some issues with lightmapping. Very old stuff now.

I will take a look at it.

I believe I have spotted the issue. I will fix them and re post them.

EDIT:
Yes those piece are just way to long. Even though the normals are facing the right direction for all the polys in the model program, in fact they are getting reversed in GameGuru now.

I cut up that section into 5 pieces and redid the normal direction and they come in fine.
So I will be taking care of all the large pieces the same way.

Also I hate those textures now. So much time to rework those, as they are photograph done. but I need to up the quality in that or they will be obsolete. I have a whole new road system I have been working on, but those were going to be intended for the store. Decisions, decisions.

I will post the fixed media soon for the huge pieces.

Thanks for your patients.

OK, got the big one done, collapsed it and collapsed it again, rewelded verticies, and force the normals to flip a few time and then reset xform. Blah Blah Blah.

Got it functioning in the whole form. X file attached below.

Let me know if you have any others acting up on you.
