Seems my 'free' purchases of some sample models may well be forever unobtainable since there is no way to download them and its been over 24 hours.

is there a solution?

If you link me your Steam profile I will unlock your free purchases for another 24 hours.

Am i to assume there is no escaping this new age nightmare of linking websites with other websites?

I recall the store having a "link to steam" thing when i first came to the new Gameguru site/store but i can see no options for this any more

i will PM you my steam profile, tho i'm still at a loss at how the downloading works since there were no links to the downloads just the licenses

edit: would it be possible to side shift this thread to the correct forum also, i didn't notice until after id posted in the wrong place

tells me to log in using steam acct, the page is already logged in with no option to link steam acct, i click on account and theres just a button for messages and a button for purchases.

this is a ridiculous [MOD EDIT: Do not swear, warning], usually when you buy stuff the company you buy from is responsible for delivery, all i find are restrictions, buck passing and responsibility shifting, all of my other TGC purchases are still downloadable where they were when they were purchased over half a decade ago, seems a definite retro step, and yes i am posting angry and irritated that i'm having to spend time chasing junk down instead of just working with the products i ordered. Especially since they are digital products instead of actual things..

The reason we require linking is the GameGuru product is distributed through Steam and as such some users do not have a TGC account, however everyone has a Steam account. For this reason we require TGC users to link their Steam account so the store can download items into the correct Steam account.

We are responsible for delivery of the items but it isn't possible to download items into GameGuru without first knowing your Steam account details.

You can normally link your Steam account on the GameGuru website after logging in with your TGC account but in this case I have done it for you, please logout of the store and any GameGuru websites and log back in. Then try downloading your store items from the File > Download store items

One thing I have noticed is that downloading the store items only works when you have launched GameGuru from Steam application instead of executing GameGuru.exe in Windows explorer.

maybe somebody should be employed to create documentation so that future people dont have to do acrobat training to jump through hoops and bend over backwards to get simple tasks done, oh and maybe create a system more like the old functioning system instead of relying on a third party to do their junk for them.

now i have a public steam profile and no god damn way to turn it off either, something which I was trying to avoid in the first place... perfect...

at least i can download and view the stuff i wanted to play with tonight, thank you for that

Yes as Steam doesn't send your Steam ID to GameGuru unless you open via Steam, this breaks the download system. This is something that we cannot fix I am afraid.

There is an option in your forum profile to turn it off.
