I managed to play videos in a story zone but fail miserably to just show a single picture once a player is entering the story zone.

I'm totally new to Game Gury, I watched the tutorial videos but there are still many questions open. I can't read all the forum entries, are there other sources for beginners to learn more about the program?

You could make the picture into a wmv file and it should play that way.
