Hi all
a while ago i think 6 months now, i started with the build of a dragon. On and off working on it.
Not Always time for it, and sometimes i need to make other things if a project stalls.

I made the dragon in a half piece. my toughts on this was for texturing.. i wanted to get the most pixels in the textures, so uv mapping the half of the dragon was having more uv space for one wing, and more resolution on the other parts.
The downside is offcourse that after i was finnished , and mirrord the other side, that the other side is exactly the same.
but hey it worked well...

It is textured now, and far from ready for gg..(static maybe)
so if i have enough inspiration again, i start with the rigging part, and bones and skinning.
Never made something like this, so i really don't know if i got it to work properly.
and i need some input about the anims.

so here are the static photo's, and hopefully animated in the coming month..

Looking Awesome ...

If you could make it fire the fireballs it would be the icing on the cake

I gave it a firespot in the mouth, so i think it is possible.

The first baby steps for the dragon, not the final offfcourse , but i have a start.

Dragon's first test in Game-guru....
so its not ready yet..
With a amazing script from smallg...

If set as character then its impossible to go into the air, so it is not set as character, but then there are limitations..
So hopefully in the future better ai.. for characters...

but for now it is working....

and comments are Always welcome.

Harry your good at getting animations into GG. Could you please make a tutorial on how you do so? Ive gotten them to do idle animations, but that is all.

Thanks

if i have some more time, i make a video of it.. i work with 3ds max.

New video, with a fire decal..
Smallg changed the script so it detects if you place decals nearby.. really great script, it is just a bit fiddling with the settings to get the decal at the right place.
But when you got it right it looks awesome...

a lot of hours.. lost counting on this one, but i worked on and off for some moths on it. so in hours....difficult , but if i must name a number.... i think between 50 to 100 hours
but thats really a guess... like i said i worked on and off on it..sometimes a couple of weeks doing nothing on it. and then working on it for a couple of days..
the last two weeks i work more on it to get in finaly finnished..

And then offcourse the scripting part that smallg did for me. i think thats also many of hours
