Thanks nuncio, that tricycle was made for a kid that was just very, very tall ! Maybe something to do with the actual fallout !

I'm about 90% done. I need to tweak a few things and add a normal & specular maps but this is where I'm currently at. I'm still having an issue with the roofs as the effect is slightly different after the latest update.

Great work, hopefully it will be soon possible to replicate the reflective looking puddle effects too (on the roads).

Excellent, you just need to put back in the sunny blue sky box, for that final
Fallout 4 atmosphere.

This is so impressive - how is your framerate? Amazing work here, Emrys. Really showcasing your talents as a modeller and expert Game Guru environment artist. I have yet to experience Fallout 4, but judging by my love for it's predecessor I am sure I will equally be inspired by the visual quality of it. I'd love to see more screenshots or a video of some kind with you exploring this beautiful scene you have created. Keep up the fantastic work

Love this idea. Perhaps Fallout multiplayer map would be cool.

Still looking awesome. I've been working on a post apocalypse style map and this makes mine look depressingly empty. Of course I am trying to keep FPS up and even with my empty looking map I'm hitting the wall in places. Great stuff! I wonder what fps you are getting with this as well? Also, any updates or videos due

Many thanks Gervais, praise indeed.

Yeah, that would be great. roll on Dx11.

I'm still playing with the design at the moment, when I'm happy with it I will do a few variations.

Thanks, you're words give me great encouragement to keep going and keep progressing. The framerate is actually pretty good the only model that is killing it at the moment is the pylons because of the way I modelled them, take out the pylons and I get about 65-70 fps on everything set to high as all the other models are low poly. I wasn't worrying too much as this was only a scene. Once I'm completely happy with it I will knock together a little video.

Thanks DVader, some the answers to you're questions I've answered in teamhalo reply above if that helps. As to updates I'm still playing around with it, the roofs don't look so good after the v1.11 update for some reason and I'm sort of waiting for the Dx11 update so I can do more with textures but in saying that I'm going to try out Nomad Soul's ReShade and see how it looks.

I would mail Lee about it. I'm sure he may be able to help if it's only the house models causing issues. There could be a simple fix if it's a baking problem I'm pretty sure he would be quite willing to help this along When he's back from his holiday of course.

This would look even better if it where lit correctly. I hope the engine will soon live up to your amazing work here.

Apart from the lighting issues (which can be worked around but will always be slightly off until more work is done on lighting in gameguru), in my personal opinion the screenshots of your work actually look better than the actual game, they seem more real to me, the game screenshot just seems to have a colour crispness that makes it feel false, whereas yours is more muted and more lifelike in my opinion.

Haven't looked at this thread in quite a while. Still amazing work! I also haven't played Fallout 4 in about the same time frame. I don't even think I have it installed since I replaced my hard drive. Just checked, nope, it's not here! Will have to reinstall. Only 24 GB, lol. Should take just under 8 hours to complete. Now I know why I didn't jump to installing everything right away!

Hi all, it's been awhile ! I've been extremely busy on other projects which have stopped for the moment, so I thought I will try and improve on this while I have a bit of free time.

The last time I worked on this project was January using Nomad Soul ReShade mod and this was the result :-

This gave great results but I'm going to go back and look at making better textures and play with the lighting a bit more and see what happens

That last shot looks grand! It's definitely got more vibrancy which is more towards the Fallout4 look.
