Hello I am having trouble getting something to rotate, this is the fpe I have but it won't rotate. I understand you don't need anything in the aimain if it is just doing something like this.

Please can someone help.

Thankyou

HP Pavilion Laptop, AMD A8-4555M APU with Radeon(tm) Graphics HD Graphics 1.6GHz, 8GB Memory, 64 Bit Operating System (Windows 10), 1 TB Hard Drive.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

Maybe this is it?

isimmobile = 1

Change to

isimmobile = 0

Not 100% sure, but might want to try it.

why would it rotate via fpe?
you need a script to make it rotate, either through animation or through an actual rotation of it's x,y,z angles

If it is an animated object it doesn't require a script to run if defined in the fpe. If you animated the object with a bone then you need to use the character_basic.fx shader. If it is vertex animation use the entity_basic.fx, if still not working then ensure you have exported the animation frames.

This will only play the '0' animation all the same you will still have to script the other two to play.

Hi Tazman,

this is a basic script for animation.
It only plays the animation 0
if you want to play also the others then change the script and add the others..

Hope this will help a bit..

Thanks everybody for the response.

@tomjscott sorry but this didn't work, thanks anyway.

@smallg I animated and am trying to run the animation through the fpe file, but it doesn't seem to want to run.

@rolfy I am using the entity_basic.fx in the fpe because it is vertex animation but even the 0 animation isn't playing, cheers.

@HarryWever Thanks harry, I tried this script but even this didn't work.

I will have another look at the animation.
