Hello everyone,

I personally wonder if the wish TheGameCreators field generation "heightmap" will be considered in GameGuru be envisaged in the future?
This could be very interesting to generate maps quickly with realistic sets

Thank you in advance for your answers and thank you for this great software !
Hate to see the C ++ version !!

You mean like this ?
I added "your" map lowered to be partly covered by water, so you can Play with it.
This is a quick raw convert; due to GG's way of handling such things, you'll need some more "heightmap postprocessing" (hint, hint) and some precise parametrizing to get rid of the "minecraft" appearance.

Edit: lest I Forget: if running the maps, you should see only black space around you, just move upwards.
And set the Player Start marker anew before you run it again

Thanks, Cybernescence.
"Fractal landscapes" are really further down the line, infact, that is something I haven't really thought of.
But if there is sufficient demand for it ....

I have added it as a feature request on our latest list along the lines of a new FILE menu item which lets you load a height map file and it will generate the terrain geometry from that. Now the performance update is done, we have time to tackle these smaller features along with the bugs and tweaks.
