I have been away from these forums and this software for a long time but just wanted to say its fantastic to see that the character creator is up and running as well as the beginnings of 3rd person functionality.

Anyway, what i wanted to query is how and when will it be possible to create or use custom clothes in the character creator and what provisions will there be for using existing weapons assets in third person mode? I am specifically thinking problems due to animations and hand models being seperate to existing character models.

Any answers would be much appreciated.

At the moment only the wizard is 100 % third person compatible but you can get other characters to move about in third person including ones from the creator by adding isthirdperson = 1 to the fpe ..... But its not great yet ...they are kind of primed ready for it ... You can even get some cars in third person as long as that command is added and the model is dynamic ..

Users are already creating Custom clothing ( though mostly editing the existing Textures )

Right now GG is in the middle of its C++ Rewrite with DX11 compatibility which is going very well but its a huge undertaking .... Once finished the next update should give us a wonderful up to date engine which will lay the groundwork for all these new additions ...

thanks for the reply synchro. Part of my question though was in regards to FPS weapons and if these would be compatible with character creator or with 3rd person mode. For example i am holding back buying the weapons packs until its confirmed that these will work with various character models.
