Hi all,
I have a map that I have put considerable work into since my last Save As, and I hit the F1 key by mistake!

In my experimentations, lightmapping always ruins the look of a map rather than enhancing it - sorry GG team

While I can revert to a previous save, it will take some work to get it back up to the stage of the current map, however if a dialog had prompted me to confirm the action, I would definitely had aborted the process, and would have been spared considerable work!

So this is a request for a safeguard to be put in place, namely: When you hit F1, a dialog should pop up for confirmation of the action.

Thanks for considering.

@Pirate Myke Could you please PM me also on how to do this? I haven't had an issue with lightmapping but just in case..
I usually have to walk away when I start the process because it takes me at least 40 minutes to do one level.

@Pirate Myke, thanks for the info, all good now.

The problem I had was that after light mapping, rocks, bridges, and some parts of buildings looked washed out, like too much contrast or something.

I played around a bit, and while looking at the settings in my older maps I noticed that the 'light rays' setting was on 0, where as on my latest map I had it at 15. So after removing the light mapping folder, I run the process again with light rays set to 0, and the result was great. ( so now I have to eat my words, hehe )

So, learning curve I guess!

Anyhow, good to know how to revert if needed, so thanks for your help.
