does anybody have any tutorials on how to create realistic mountains with GG's terrain editor. I know other editors use similar methods to create terrain and was wondering if there were any tips for this. Thanks.

It's not so much a tutorial, as a hint to what I do.

Create your base mesh with the brush, basically paint in the basic geometry. Then zoom in and make the brush as small as it will go and make small circle actions with your mouse around the area, trying not to stay in one place too long.

You will see that it gives jagged look, which is closer to what you are after.

I hope this helps somewhat.

Cheers

Jay.

another small hint:

smallest circle and paint somewater vein with shift + mouse pressed. also remeber real mountains have no curves, instead hard edges.
Sometimes I use also the flatten tool to create a kind of plattform(Anden). Also a pretty usefull tool is the ramp to create good change overs.
The best is to look on some pictures of a mountain.

Hope this helps in any kind
My dream is to develope games, which makes fun when I create it and fun when other people play it.
