Is anyone working on melee weapons like kitchen knife, Axe (not like the one in GG), pipes, crowbar, wrench, or any other everyday item that can be used as a weapon like an office paper cutter that you can remove the cutter from it and use it as a weapon?

I would buy a pack that has this and i'm sure many more will.

I actually made a lot of progress with developing about 6 various types of weapons. Animated and everything but I haven't really done anything with them yet.

It's funny that you mention those types of weapons as I made almost every one, including the office cutter. I can post so photos if your interested

Here is what they look like in game guru. Out of the 8 or so that I modeled I only ported 5 of them in game. They use Animations from Stock Game Guru Weapons so unfortunately until I figure out how to export animations from 3ds max these will never see the light of the Guru Store. Weapons are probably the most challenging asset types to get working in Guru/FPSC, and I have always failed at bringing them in since the FPSCX9 days...

Here they are though:

cheers

Max export is pretty straightforward. The main difference with GG is that you ideally want to be skinning the weapon meshes to an animated dummy for it to work best with shaders. The max export settings are the same as you would use for any animated entity. Just make sure your timeline starts at 0 and you are exporting with your full timeline specified and at a 30fps sample rate.

Personally, I find the stock biped rig a headache to animate with but that's just me.

Those pipes look like they could hurt, I hope you can make a pack of these Be good if you could make a destroyable door too, for GurubuildingsV1 and V2 door sizes. Then we could smash some doors in....

Can you just leave it with the stock GG animation until you can figure out how to add the weapons own animation? It looks too bad to use the GG animation for now? I would imagine that the hatchet animation would work ok with pretty much all of this weapons since they are all 1 handed only. I know that that animation is not that good but it might do until you can figure this out and you can put this weapons in the store sooner.

@Timba - The animations look great using the stock animations, the problem is they are property of the Artist who licensed TGC to use them, there is not way I will be able to release an object that is rigged to animations that were not created by me I will make a video next week so you can see them.
