GAME GURU ENGINE

TOYARTWAR is a war between toys, toyarts and all kinds of cartoons
There is a reason for this war , but I,m thinking about this...
Probably there is a link with my other history BIGHATBOY

there is a lot of ideas and design concepts from BIGHATBOY and the main character and
the others are toyart. but TOYARTWAR will be a self susteined history.
There is many Toys in game and they must to fight to win.Or solve puzzles to go the next
level.So the history is not close in some characters...I will have a lot of them in each
subsequent level.
I have some ideas to include custom characters made by users and I believe this will be
one part to turn this project in a sucessful comercial project

others, and I hope you can follow and participate in this journey.
I have used GG since the start, I´m a Gold Pledger of course, and love TGC work.
I´m in a "my time process" to model and animate many things , convert others, to put in
my game and in the store too.

this guru is really powerfull! When I was back to continue my work with the old FPSC, after some time with health problems, the Reloaded was anounced.so I decided wait... 2 years now...kkk no problem I´m a patient man.
and about your expression " light of guru " , when the TGC change the name to Game Guru , immediately I think in produce a Guru character...kkk but Idon´t know. I think this could be a theme for a competition...what do you think ?

thank you smalg I'm backing to toyartwar now...I stoped when I understood I can't use my character with a weapon in 3rd person, but I'll prepare more things and continue with the history at this point, till Lee back to this issue .

Well I have a problem now and can´t solve it.
I accept I can´t use any weapon with my character in 3person mode at this moment in the engine, so I tried modeling a new one just to replace the weapon used by wizard, and change the wizard for my character with the same animation... everything work ok except the textures don´work... What I´m doing wrong? I appreciate if anyone can help me

Very stylish looking stuff! Nice job! Can't help you with the model textures, as I have never got into making weapons. I imagine it must be a very simple issue though, normally means that GG is looking in the wrong place for the texture. I'm guessing anyone who has had any experience of making weapons will know what this issue is quite quickly

What is the name of the weapon texture, and in which folder have you put the texture?

Well my texture have a name gun_D.dds and they are inside gamecore/guns/alemarcartoon/apicultor folder .you can see the attachment...
I can´t understand what I´m doing wrong...

The gun_D.dds file is for the hud.X model (the first person view). I haven't tried custom weapons in 3rd person, but looking at the default staff, the vweapon texture (the model used in 3rd person) is called staff_D.dds, so rename your texture to staff_D.dds and see if that works.

thank you Gtox, but this don´t work... I changed the texture in gunspec.txt too, but no luck.
maybe my settings at gunspec.txt have something wrong...

Well I"m trying to find a solution...
I still believe the problem is the settings i have in gunspec...
What is the diference? I copied this frow wizard weapon.

What happens if you copy the 'staff' folder in the gamecore<guns<fantasy folder, rename it and replace the vweap.x and staff_D.dds files with your files? I drew a bunch of red squiggles over the staff_D.dds file, and was reflected in game, so it's definitely the right file.

Yes good idea.I ´ll try this.
Anyway I just copied the fantasy folder for my directory inside gamecore/guns/and renamed.After that I copied my .x files.

HI Science boy, thank you. I´m skinning this character and have this ready soon.
Now I have a question about how to set up the character to die ...looking to wizard he have a ragdool turn on... how can I do this? or just set up a way to turn on the die animation???
anyway here a image with the beekeeper in Totem Valley ... this is where the story is stoped and after that I´ll construct the level with the FourFaces guys
