I had a great idea for GG. I call them Prefabs or perhaps Templates.
What is that? Save some different entities in one prefab.
So you can use this prefab again. For example on a new Map.
this saves time, while the level design.
Some other examples:
A Building with all the Furniture placed. But now you want to move the building.
If you have a prefab there is no problem!
Or you want to place the Building again some where on the map.
What is you have again a Building. But in this case the Doors and Windows are separate models? Like the Church and the Church Doors form the stock models of GG. With prefabs you have to Place the Door only one time. After that use the prefab.
Complex models, which has more than one part and every part needs a separate Texture/Material. Or for other multi material models.
Think this would improve level design.
I spoke with Lee about that. He also think that Prefab are a good idea.
