Seems to me that version .029 can't 'Import Model' . I made a basic textured cube and tried to use Import Model while in the editor and I get
"file does not exist at line 52621' , 'Runtime Error 105' .
So I went ahead and made by own .fpe file , add it to the folder and was able to place it on a test map . I also ran version FPSCR .009 (without an .fpe file) and tried the import model feature and it made the .fpe file and was able to load it into my test level . So something changed ?
The model was made in 3DworldStudio . I also made it in Sketchup 2015 and exported it as an .obj file and converted it in Fragmotion with same results .

Just tried the importer and it worked fine for me ....
You can export from Sketchup to 3ds and then import directly because GameGuru's importer supports 3ds

I prefer to use a .X exporter and manually do it myself though..

Hope that helps

Just tried it several more times and I can't get the 'Import Model' in the editor to work . This the first real problem I have had with Guru that I haven't caused myself . I must be the only one having this problem so it must be on my end ..

Ah so you cannot actually load the importer ?
Try a file verification through steam to see if that sheds any light on it

" file verification "?
I ran Guru thru Steam and nothing has changed ? Have I been 'steamed' ?
All this because I can't re download Guru . I am not impressed with the Steam process .
Glad I don't need this to make a living .

In the steam library rmb on the Gameguru icon on the left and choose properties. Middle tab bottom choice is the verify integrity of game catch option.
Right above that is the delete local game content. that will uninstall GG from steam, and you should be able to redownload and install.

Steam has it's issues with GG, for sure, but they're readily solved, usually (I've never had such issues with other games on Steam, though) but it is still (in my opinion) a much better platform than what we had previously, i.e. waiting months on end at times for updates. August to Christmas last year was really trying peoples' patience, and I think that's why a few people left.
