Has anyone seen this product from Autodesk. It is a per year license but it is the best way of getting hold of some fantastic software.

It has been designed with indie game makers in mind. Perfect for us. I am certainly thinking of getting it (Trying it out now). You also get any new upgrades because of the yearly license.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

It has no xfile export for animations. Did they add this feature yet?

There will be some learning to do. But enjoy it, as it is a very nice program.

I've been following it a bit. If we can get .FBX support in GameGuru; it would be a very nice tool indeed ($30/mo. sub). I haven't searched for a .X exporter though.

only static is what is available. Has been a problem for a long time.
But with FBX format it will make it easier.

Has anyone compared Maya LT2016 at 30 bucks a month to AC3D at 90 bucks one time charge? ( includes .x file exporter capability)
I have used AC3d for over 3 years and found it very easy to use. Not trying to hijack a thread, just wondering.

Really focused to game maker, nice and very professional, anyway I'll wait best time too.

FBX support would be nice. I wonder if I can profit the illumination/shadows 3ds Max features, in GG ?
Does GG support Nurbs ?

No nurbs yet in x files, Convert them to poly before exporting to x file.

I've been using Maya LT since day one of it's release. I love it and they keep adding more features. I bought a standalone license and a subscription so I get every version and update and can stop paying anytime and keep what I got. Though if you like perpetual software you need to act before 2016 because Autodesk is moving to an all subscription plan. No more sales, only leases.

For x model format you need to have something cheaper like milkshape or fragmotion or Ultimate Unwrap Pro to covert from FBX to x.
