I know this is a minor nit-pick, but to me the GameGuru icon is one of the most uninspiring an harsh graphics I've come across in modern times. Trying to squeeze eight letters onto a desktop icon, which often is only displayed at 16x16 to 32x32, is bizarre. Has any thought been put into making a really nice modern icon for it?

I would recommend just using 'GG' for the Icon, much like App Game Kit's icon is 'AGK' and Unreal's icon is a 'U'. The typeface used and general structure of the letter G in GameGuru itself could make for some creative and simple ideas--i.e., stack the two G's any given way and you have what can also resemble a chain fence segment, a suitable icon for indicating construction / game design.

In any case, creating a compelling icon can go a long way to making the product look professional.

What it looks like on my desktop. The 'Gu' is covered up by shortcut, making it appear Game Ru.

What it looks like in my taskbar.

Maybe it's the making of competition in the future For now we wanted to get away from abbreviating everything we do for the product, so people remember the whole name not just the letters. In the past we've shortened almost everything and created a strange universe for new users; TGC, FPSC, T3DGM, FPSCR, AGK

LOL, a lot of people around here (myself included) have already started referring to it as GG. I guess it's just a sign of the times to abbreviate/apply acronyms to everything!

Funny enough the first game engine I ever used was DOS program called GGGG which would convert your work into a Q-basics output, whereas you could test and play the game you have built. Can't seem to find any reference to that engine anymore on the internet. I always assumed it got its name from its creator, like Gregory's Great Game Generator lol

Its funny that I always called FPS Creator FPSC. To me, I've noticed that I've been calling Game guru Just Guru, its a very easy way to label the engine. Its a very easy name. GameGuru is long and its simple just calling it Guru.

Personally I like the Red on black of the top forum logo. I too agree I do not like the look of the logo now. Here is my version:

Example of it's appearance in windows:
