Dang that will be a whole book. But here goes. And thanks for the questions.
Quote: "1) How do you chain multiple SinglePlayer maps into a long multi-level game to compile out to an executable?
"
You don't chain them together any more. What you do is place winzone markers on each level where you would like to leave from. Inside the properties panel of each is a setting called ifused. That is where you enter the level name of the level you want to go to. With out the ,fpm extension.
Make a standalone build of every level you want to use.
Leaving the first level you want the player to be in compile LAST.
this will accomplish that task.
Quote: "2) How do you finish setting up a MultiPlayer version of the game after dropping Multiplayer Starting Points?"
save your map with up to 8 cyan MP markers on it.
No characters or animated object, except doors. you may use exploding barrels and objects.
Place weapons and ammo. They will respawn automatically for all to use at will.
save the level.
I suggest opening a blank map, but is not necessary. when in the new blank map, goto Multi player mode. The button with the people on it.
Once in there choose Host a game.
Play one of your levels.
A list comes up of your maps. Choose one, and press Choose level,
It will upload the data and set it ready. wait till a number of people join your game, then choose start. It will process for a bit the a count down will appear then your in.
Quote: "3) Can you do MultiPlayer against Mobs?"
At the moment no, only real players. Sorry. But a fine suggestion.
Quote: "4) How do you customize the compiled Splash screen and about data?"
By editing the files in this location with a paint program.
C:\Users\YOURPROFILE\Documents\Game Guru Files\My Games\YOURGAME\Files\titlesbank.
Do this inside each standalone level.
Ok, not quite a book. But should get you thru it.
Any other questions, please ask.
