I needed a piece of exploding roadway so I purchased it from Rolfy . It worked in pre Steam release and now in the Steam version it doesn't . I took an exploding wall (FPSC Classic) and it also worked in the pre Steam release and it too doesn't work . Rolfy 's work is fine , it must be in the Steam release ?

I just tried Rolfy's road and building and they work fine for me. I don't have the Classic wall (at least I don't think I have it, haven't converted all my assets yet). After the Steam install, did you copy over the scripts in addition to the entities? Just a thought, I've missed that on many an occasion.

The .lua file didn't get copied over(?) ,don't know why . It works now that the .lua script is there . Stupid is as stupid does

There are a bunch of exploding wall in the sci-fi FSPC Classic folder . Don't remember if I purchased them or they came with Classic .
Sorry for wasting everyone's time.

No Lance this was not a waist of Time...

We all need to remember that some models require Lua scripts to function correctly...
I know I have forgotten this in the past .. and I will forget again...
We will all fall into little traps like this as we move our stuff over to the Steam folders...
Good reminder.. Heads up everyone...

As J_C states

Not at all, man! Like I said in my post further up, I know I've missed the scripts many times on a new install, and as said by others, they too, have done the same. We will all probably do it again. And, like syncromesh said, this thread will probably help a few others, at least until it falls back to the second page of the forum and beyond, where nobody will ever look at it again and somebody else will raise the same question after swearing they've searched the ENTIRE forum and couldn't find an answer. Sometimes you can stare at a problem for hours and not come up with a solution. That may or may not be a waste of time. From that point, though, you can ask for assistance, or like I often do, step away from the problem, have a few beers, ponder the problem over a few more, go to sleep, wake up, and even in a hung over state see the solution right before your eyes!

Not me...I generally find in that condition the only thing before my eyes is the back of my own skull
