Is the "View Range" under properties of enemy characters still working, or do I have to change the LUA script?
I want to change the "View Range" of the enemies so they react earlier on the player distance, special for the rocket man.
It is a surprise for the player walking to the rocket man while he thinks it is normal gunman.

Yes it should be "View Range" under properties should be increased to react earlier...
I haven't had any issues saying it doesn't work as yet ...

I put the settings of View Range to 2500 and it looks the enemies are reacting earlier, I don' t know what the maximum is.
Thanks.

those ranges are controlled in the scripts. Duplicate the script and change the values in side. assign that script to your character.

Pirate Mike thanks, Do you mean the values in the fpe script or the Lua script?
Which value do I have to change?

he's talking about the lua script which is kind of true, some scripts use a specific value for the range while some rely on the check of the player being visible (which is affected by the property setting - as long as it works)

you would need to check the lua scripts to be sure

Thanks, smallg, Yes the LUA script. there are ranges inside the script, checking and changing, these ranges will effect the characters reactions.

Which scripts do you mean, the global or soldier scripts. The soldier scripts contains no range values
