Is it possible to find out which objectives causes a runtime error in Gameguru like debugging.
Halfway creating a gamelevel I am getting a runtime error while launching a level, this very frustating.

I solved the runtime error after deleting several entities. I am now creating a gamelevel with several saved gamelevels, before testing a level saving it so I can figure out which last change can cause a runtime error.

Yes that's what I do also when I get an error. I ask myself what was the last entity I used and work backwards.

Save the map in question. and place each object on a map by itself and run test game and lm, and see if it erros. you will find it fast this way and not destroy your map.

Save, save, save, and save as.

Hope you find the offending object.

The object was the "player start" object, strange that this object causes an error

That is indeed strange.

Have you closed down GameGuru and steam and then reopened them to see if you get the same thing?

Reason I ask is the two interfaces (Steam and GG) are closely link with handshaking now, and we would want to spot any trouble like that fast and stop it ASAP.

If this is reproducible on your machine, can you log the steps. ( I know redundant) maybe a screen shot also, and post it in the bug report thread on the main site.

Good spot if this is an issue.

Thanks

IIRC Reloaded does not react well when you manually change the players start marker position on the map, even i believe remeber people here telling than is must better delete it and place another one, instead of change their position. Thought.
Ignore if GG do the same, or even if this is your case.

I actually have not seen that yet. I was being a duh and trying to set MP markers and used the start marker instead, and it kept changing to the new position. But I do remember that happening and being reported before.

Thanks again.
