Dear Reloaders gurus,
I ve been making several models for my sci fi pack and got into this topic that i can not solve.
I have created the model in x format, the textures with the same name _D for the diffuse map and a 64x64 bmp picture of the model and saved with the same name of the model but it dosent appear in the entities or the pictures do not match to the model, did anyone have the same problem?
Regards

This could also happen if a thumbnail is missing or is not saved in the correct BMP format.

Check to see if all of your thumbnails are there. If not, that will be the issue. The thumbnails appear to move long to the next available asset. It's strange, but, it happens.

If they are all there, then I would advise checking they are all in the correct format.

I noticed that when I saved the thumbnails from GIMP, they wouldn't show in the editor, even though they were the correct size and were bitmap images. All I did to remedy this was, right click on the thumbnail, click edit (so it opens in MS Paint), then just click save. Job done. It would appear that any bitmaps saved in MS Paint at the correct BMP format.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Jay.

Hiya,
Just to say I use gimp and the only issue I had
, was when I saved files I did write the file name along with the suffix BMP
And that would not vwork, so I had same issue
Meaning I typed
Thumbnail.BMP in the save name area
Instead of typing just
Thumbnail. And going to the drop down menue and selecting the
Windows BMP option.
This is the same on all images as gimp does not understand manual input of file types, a gimp bug

@spudnick

GIMP does understand manual typing of file types. That's how I save all the work I do in GIMP.

I haven't used the drop down selection since I began learning GIMP.

Interesting to see that there is a Windows BMP option in there. That will save a little time.

Cheers

Jay.
