Just wanted to pay a little tribute to the man known to most as "Mr. Spock". I thought of doing this the other day when he was hospitalized but thought I'd hold off. The Star Trek phenomena was integral in my becoming interested in math, science, computers, electronics, communications, and of course, one of the many amalgamations of all of these (also the most fun): video games! I'd bet many here had similar experiences. While the show was low budget, especially by the standards of later incarnations, it inspired the creation of many of the conveniences we enjoy today. Mr. Spock was a major part of that legacy. He was the outsider, the alien, the nerd. Those adjectives are familiar to me, for sure! His logic (almost always) prevailed over human emotion. I've tried to apply that pragmatism in many aspects of my life. But of course, I'm only human. Cheers, Mr. Spock!
