are there any books on LUA for GameGuru because i am having a hard time trying to learn it.

This link takes you to the GG Community page on Steam. If you select the "Guides" at the top, the first guide is a very basic overview of LUA and how it is used with GG. This is very basic, but it might answer some of your questions.
