hi! i'm still working on a first testgame and i couldn't find out how to make the AI enemies follow the waypoints. i made two screenshots in my WIP session to show you, maybe i made something wrong and you can see what / why...
the first screenshot shows where i put the waypoints. thereare two guys with each a waypoint system. it's not very detailed it's just a test.
the second screen is ingame and shows that the two guys don't care about waypoints. what's wrong there??

i didn't find an answer in there. i did all that you wrote there but my AI's still ignore the waypoints. this doesn't work at all...

Ok, Sorry that it is still not working for you.

I will set up a map similar to your screen shots, and see if I get the same result as you are.

Try putting the enemy down first and then make the waypoint path . Make sure the enemy is on top of the starting path marker (first marker placed ) . Do it on a blank test map . It sometimes is a pain to get it to work but it does . Make sure your start marker is far away from the enemy when you start or the enemy will not follow the path but will attack you .

Not seeing that the characters are not following the way points on my system. Not saying this is not happening to you.
Was the terrain edited after the waypoint was placed? When placing the character, are you adjusting their height?
I must be missing a step from what I can see from the screen shot.

Let me know any more info that you can.

just tried this myself and its all ok my end....

In one of the earlier builds I found that if I put a waypoint down ... And then added the character it would not follow the path like yours..
But if I added the character first.....And then the waypoint it worked fine .....

I have never had the problem since and for me it works either way now .... But you could try it both ways and see if it makes a difference for you ?
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

i just tried this and it worked. the enemies followed their waypoints until the discovered me. so that's working.

i think the terrain was not edited after the waypoints, no. when i placed the bad guys i pressed enter to get them on the right height for the ground, that's all.

i think i'm going to open my map and delete the waypoints and the enemies, put everything up again and try.

I seem to be having a similar problem. I got the drunk guy from the medieval pack to follow the way points but everyone else just stands there. I just noticed today while playing with the new media. None of the zombies seem to follow the way points or even do an idle animation until I walk up to their face to trigger an attack either. I don't recall having this problem before but then again I haven't messed with the characters during the last few builds.

this is strange: i opened my island hopper map (this is where i first had that problem) and did the waypoints again. it didn't work. the i put some more waypoints at a totally different place on the other side of the map and when i played it it suddenly worked. i don't know if it will work a second time...

edit:
th second time it also worked but some enemies still ignore the waypoints. i think especially the uzi soldier.
