Noted the general discussion page on the Steam GG page.

When I look at a topic at the bottom it says that my account is not authorized to post???

Why not, and how do I get authorization?

How does one get to this forum from or through the Steam GG pages?

Should just have to be logged into your Steam account. Let me know if this is not the case, Please.

Mod edit - Please be polite, even when joking - thanks..

(Joking of course!)

Edit: Actually, now I've looked at it a couple of posts I made yesterday have disappeared...could be connected, perhaps..?

Are you "subscribed" to the forum? I think somewhere along the line I did that!

Sorry for the late reply but I'm in the same boat as AREA 51.

I have logged in via both the client and through Chrome, and in both cases I get the same message as above.

???

Will this forum remain, or will we switch over to the Steam Discussions system. This forum is much better!!!

This forum will absolutely remain as the prime area for you to come and interact with fellow Game Guru enthusiasts!

Go to your account page (button on top right). Do you see the Steam Button above your user details, or does it say "You have successfully linked a Steam account to your profile."? If you see the Steam Button, push it; then both accounts will be linked.

I completed the link several days ago, so all that shows is the message

"You have successfully linked a Steam account to your profile"

Thanks

More than i can get, I have tried to link my account through steam, but every time i enter my user & pass
at that link you guys gave it says I do not have an account. And yet I have steam installed and can see my £50.00
wallet balance and game archive no problem.

The link asks enter number you see in box after i have put my user name and password in
then ok it, then it comes up with Incorrect login. . I have contacted
steam support 2 days ago and got no response so far on this matter.

I had this issue yesterday .... it seem that despite the fact you have steam installed and your logged in ..... you have to go through a lot of hassle to log in via the Website ..... enter a code emailed to you etc

I had to do it 5 times but to be honest my installed steam just connects when I power up ....I was actually using a wrong password .... I missed a number...
So double check you are using the correct password its easily done..... And click "Remember Me" or as soon as you close the page you have to do it all again ..

The end and all is it assumes your logging in from a new PC despite the fact you have steam installed and are already logged in or that's what it did for me anyway ..

@ Super Clark

I have had the same issue IE

It seems that once you have the Steam client installed, if you try to access your Steam account through a regular browser you get the error. You can still get in but you have to go to your e-mail and there should be a code from Steam in order to use your "New Browser". if you go back to the Steam log-in and enter the code (after again using you Steam log-in,) you can get in. However, if you use the client again, and then try the browser again, you get the same log-in error.

????? I Know, it's crazy???

I could not log in for days, but Steam considered me already logged in also.

I had to log out of the steam interface, then when I opened it again, I told it I had lost my password.

it allowed me to reset it, and then I logged into steam again and it let me go thru and sign in on a browser, and the GameGuru website.

It was pesky for sure.
