Hi,
Thanks Rick, for the help with the video
Yes, sure you can play it, but it's not final yet.
I hope on friday I can add the... the... Zombies
This is already level 19 or 20 for my little game. (an old school shooter need 32 levels hahahaha)
As soon as I've the zombies and when it's possible to encrypt the standalone files, I will think about a release on st... maybe greenlight.
But there's still a lot to do.
@nuncio
Yes, I've only used the assets (Sachen) from the last release 1.01, except 1 thing. The brown stones, it's actually a brown arc.
Which you can download from the store (it's freeware).
Building a beach can be tricky, coz the transition between the sandy beach and the water should be flat and smooth.
Not easy (for me) to do that in the editor. Also the beach and the sand in the water should have the same sand texture.
Not forget to paint the underwater area from green to sand.... or it will look like a jungle river.
That's how I start a new level....
1. an island... ok cut everything around your new island, I mean lower the terrain until you see the water.
2. in the middle green and outside paint sand (don't forget to paint the sand texture in the water too)
3. lower the beach at bit more until it's very close to the water
4. now I paint the grass
5. add some flowers, small plants, stones, buildings, enemies, weapons
6. add palms
7. add the xxl trees
8. test the level and edit the light and shadows.
Thanks all for the comments
The only thing I worry about is... even with a GTX970 I can kill the framerate down to 14, if I use tooooo many objects in a scene.
Old school FPS fan, DOOM !!!! Waiting for the zombies
