OK, I've got my Steam account, I've connected it to my TGC account, I've looked at the GG Steam pages.

We're a week away from launch. It would be nice if someone could give us a little step-by step on what to do and what to expect next Monday (march 2nd).

Where do we download the Steam version of GG, and how is it installed on our system?
I see the Steam keys notice on my TGC Product history. What are these keys and how will they work?

Thanks

Actually, it's coming out in like 3 days, I think! (I got an early release key and played with the multiplayer for a couple hours: multiplayer is cool! I've never done any online game before, and even though we were just running around shooting each other, it was fun! Damn you, Slaur3n!)

Anyway, once you get your key, open your Steam client (do you have it installed? If not, do it! I'm really not sure if you can do this from a browser), click on "Games" at the top, then click on "Activate a Product on Steam...". Click next on the first window, Agree to agree, thenon the next window I think it asks for the key.

3days, 15 hours, just confirmed! February 27th!

@ Jerry

Thanks as always... I have the client installed. The release says that we will get 5 keys (gold members)

I understand the one key, what are the others used for?

You can give them to friends or family as a free GameGuru

You’ll be free to share your Steam keys with friends and family and then play against each other in your own multiplayer maps!

We all need to get together and let TGC know that the current online multiplayer system isn't good enough.

Currently everyone playing needs to own GameGuru because it isn't possible to share maps without it. This is effectively leaving Gold Pledgers with a maximum of 5 player multiplayer unless 3 of their friends and/or family want to fork out $20. And things are even worse for Silver and Bronze Pledgers.

And you can forget about the Steam Greenlight system because it works on votes, and NONE of these multiplayer maps will end up getting Greenlit.

Online multiplayer is going to be pointless without a non-Steam version unless your friends and family want to fork out £20 each.

There must be some way to have an executable file given a generic AppID that all players can sign into using the Steam usernames and passwords..? Or something..?

Without another way of doing things one of the best things about GameGuru, online play, is going to be pointless unless people pay through the nose for it.

We expect the lobby's to be very busy and that during testing of the multiplayer game we found a quite a few lobbies being available. We expect this number to increase a lot on release.

We will of course be supporting standalone MP in the future once we're happy the Steam version is as good as it can be.

Thanks
