hello!
i would like to know if it's possible to change the loading screen, the title screen etc. in my standalone game to make it more personal?
and is it possible to make a soundtrack, a music that's in the game? i have music but i don't know how to put it in the game.

and also, if this is possible, is it even possible to make the music change when bad guys appear? Like "sudden trouble" f.e. is a song in far cry 3 that comes up when you are confronted with pirates all over sudden.
thanks!

You can customise the loading screens they are located in C:/ program files / The Game Creators / FPS Creator Reloaded / files / titlesbank / Default

The loading screens are located in folders named as 1280x720.....1280x800 etc and are individually named .....about.jpg, end.jpg, loading.jpg, and title.jpg

Of course the Steam version will have a different path but this will help you get to grips with the current structure..
Also the intention for the future is to incorporate an editor for doing exactly this

EDIT.... So I don't make the mistake I made earlier you would have to alter these BEFORE you compile your standalone game

Sound Zones can be setup so if you walk into a room for instance with Zombies the music can change to your desired choice...

ah, ok! i already found these folders but i can't open the JPG's with GIMP. GIMP says the file is damaged (although it works in game) and when i want to open it with the windows (7) picture viewer (?) it says the file is too big or damaged. is it just me or is there something wrong?

okay now i got what you were trying to tell me i also wrote into that other thread. i will try this. this means i just have to make my own image in the right size, insert it into GG (backing up the originals) and save as a standalone. very good. i will try and tell you!

i already found that "sound trigger" but how do i start a game with background music running?

thanks for your help so far!

Ok this you can do AFTER you have your standalone game....
you need to add a sound file in .ogg format to your

files / titlesbank / default / directory and it must be named....title.ogg

I just added phil collins to my menu to try it...works great

btw.: i never heard about the file format .OGG before eventhough i'm a hobb ymusic producer in my free time but when i started to build my point and click adventure with "visionaire" i was confronted with this format for the first time. it is a nice reminder to read these three letters again.

.ogg is free to use, I think.
For all other sound compressions (mp3 etc.) you need a license, or sometimes must pay for the license.
