Hi, I have been making some floor tile segments but in the selection
of the FPE materialindex part of the file only 1,2,3 seem to work

1.Stone
2.Metal
3.Hard Floor

Should their not be also Water? and Gravel and some other options?

Hope someone has the answer

Thanks in advance

Regards SuperClark

There's also generic, which I think is 0, but as far as I know that's it at this time. I'm sure there will be more in the future. Also, it would be nice to be able to use our own. I'm sure we can probably change the default audio files, I just haven't done it. But being able to use whatever, whenever would be nice!

LOL, I just looked in the audiobank because you made me curious. I guess "Generic" is grass. It seems there are LOTS of them! In the audiobank under materials, there are sounds for: Glass (4), Liquid(5), Cloth(6) (I can't hear this one but I have the stereo on pretty loud), Drum(7), Tin(8), silly(10), Bathroom(11), cobble (12), gravel(13), and then they seem to repeat a few. I tried different indexes but none of them worked. Perhaps, like I though, they aren't usable yet.

Got it to work now,

You have to put the full Dir.

materialindex = 5\audiobank\materials\5liquid.wav

Thanks , Jerry

Not working for me. Are you using Reloaded 1.01 or GameGuru-Steam version?

Yep, in fact, I copied and pasted yours just to make sure I hadn't made a typo that I wasn't seeing. I'm using 1.01 as well, because I haven't migrated my custom assets over to the new one yet. I just thought I'd try it on a piece of custom asphalt I have. I even tried several variations of the actual directory (the leading 5 isn't actually part of it) i.e. Files\audiobank\materials\5liquidA1.wav and even further up the directory chain. BTW, 5liquid.wav isn't actually the name of one of the files. Are you sure yours isn't just picking up the index 5 that you have at the beginning of yours?

It works only like

materialindex = 5\audiobank\materials\5liquid.wav

I tried

materialindex = audiobank\materials\5liquid.wav ( NO Good )

so i added the 5\ before it and as you can see from the video >

I made tiles floor with splash sound to go under flowing river, happy got it to work.

LOL, I'm glad it's working for you! And whatever help I was I'm glad I could help. I'd never bothered with this before, so I'm not going to worry over it not working for me now! Sometimes, you just gotta walk away...
