I would avoid that site all together, if I were you. There are a lot of models that have been ripped out of other games.

You could find yourself in a lot of bother.

Just a friendly heads up.

With regards to converting models to the correct format; it's very much trail and error. I am a Blender user and will always try to use Blender for everything model related. However, I know that a lot of other people use fragmotion for converting the models and rigging weapons and characters. If you do a quick search on the forums for fragmotion, you should find some pretty useful threads.

Cheers

Jay.

ah, ok, thanks, nice to know!
i have just started using blender and i just want to have something to work with, to practise with GG, trying to build a landscape, trying around with terrain editing and stuff. i just want to practise!
i'm not that experienced in using blender so i thought for the beginning there was an easy way to convert models, and i'm not planning a commercial game at all
i have already tried to convert a cruise ship from blender to GG but the ship was micro size and black but this was my first time and i have to go through a lot of tutorials i guess.

Have you looked at the PDF files in the FPSC reloaded Docs folder

'Importing models into FPS Creator Reloaded' - this one gives you the basics...

I also use Blender and fragmotion for models and
Gimp and Paint.net for textures .. changing textures between jpg, PNG and DDS formats ..also creating normal maps...

Blender, Gimp and Paint.net are free downloads...

There is an online model converter http://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/ which works quite well.

@nuncio

I made a few simple tutorial videos to help people learn Blender.

If you are still struggling, please feel free to contact me. I can see if I can get the model sorted for you.

Cheers

Jay.
