Hi,

Despite the broken links warnings are no longer being shown in the header at the forum, the fact is that external links are still all dead or broken; however, the internal links are working properly.

I believe you know about that issue, but only to remember.

Cheers,
Northern

Can you post an example of a link that doesn't work?

Hello,

No offense Sir, but because I would make a post about broken links, if the external links were working correctly.

However, to answer your question; yes, I do. Below, I am listing some examples of broken links in the Guru Games forums:

A) First Example:

Post URL: https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/210693

Please, check out:

The line with:

Correct link URL:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64612150/GUI-Launcher-Tryout_Version.7z

copy of the link address:

https://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdl.dropboxusercontent.com%2Fu%2F64612150%2FGUI-Launcher-Tryout_Version.7z

Verify the line below: on the first post in the thread, before the line with Have fun!

Learn more visiting: http://www.projectopersonal.org

Correct link URL: http://www.projectopersonal.org

Following, you have the copy of the link address previous:

https://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.projectopersonal.org

the line with:

Correct link URL: http://store.payloadz.com/go/?id=2228580

The link path is pointing to an incorrect place in the Payloadz Store:

copy of the link address:

https://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fstore.payloadz.com%2Fgo%2F%3Fid%3D2228580

2) Second Example:

Post URL: http://forum.game-guru.com/thread/210288

Correct link URL: http://www.unwrap3d.com/u3d/order.aspx

copy of the link address: http://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.unwrap3d.com%2Fu3d%2Forder.aspx

Correct link URL : http://www.fragmosoft.com/fragMOTION/

copy of the link address: http://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fragmosoft.com%2FfragMOTION%2F

Both the links above are pointing to an incorrect place.

3) Third Example:

Post URL : http://forum.game-guru.com/thread/210211

Correct link URL: http://www.hptware.co.uk/medusa.php

copy of the link address: http://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hptware.co.uk%2Fmedusa.php

Correct link URL: http://www.hptware.co.uk/forester.php

copy of the link address: http://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hptware.co.uk%2Fforester.php

Correct link URL: http://www.hptware.co.uk/medusa.php

copy of the link address: http://forum.game-guru.com/outbound?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hptware.co.uk%2Fmedusa.php

Are the examples above enough?

Sincerely,
Northern

Easy fix, the redirect page was accidentally putting an extra character at the end of the url.

@The Next:

I tested all the links above and some others, and seemed to me that they are working properly now.
Many thanks for the quick fix.
