Brrrr ... my english impressed me more and more every day :-(

What I would like to do is extruding (a mountain, a hill, a bump on the terrain) not only vertically but horizontally too.

In this way you could create carvings in the mountains or better model the terrain.

Is this possible at the moment ? Is it possible to implement if not doable now?

Not possible at the moment (as far as I know), but it would be nice to be able to do that.

Look at my message "border selection" in Feature Creep, creating a selection with the mouse (square, circle, oval, triangle, etc) give it a heightvalue( or length/width value) minus or plus , create an accurate traced terrace, pond, canal, dike, cave, tunnel or another selected shape and at a nice texture. I hope it is possible

I already have read your post, but, owing to my poor english, I didn't really get it. Can you explain to me with a step by step tutorial (even with a few sentences). Besides have you a screenshot of what you accomplished with this trick ?

Or is it only a desired feature ?

For example I want to create a straight long canal, the measure of this canal I create is for example 100 meter long X 5 meter width.
I am drawing with a drawing selection tool a square size 100 length X 5 width, give it a height -2 meter. In the editor a canal is created
100 meter long, 5 meter width and 2 meter deep. The meter is an example unit in the editor, I hope you understand what I mean.
