you have beautiful lightsetting and colors and i really like the backstory of this game. looks very interesting. i think it's a good idea and something different from all the usual games to use a middle east setting, room for a lot of unique ideas. i like games with alternative weapons like sabres, muskets or any kind of flintlock weapon. i also wanted to make an open world game but i think i don't have enough knowledge to realize that. i'm interested how your open world looks and works in the final game. good luck, i'll follow

And here we have the Ottoman flintlock shorty, a hybrid between flintlock pistol and flintlock rifle that reflects a gameplay value and behaviour comparable to shotguns in modern games. As you See in the Screenshots attached here, the loading is a quite exhausting procedure and not the best idea when being attacked by many foes at once, but it delivers a good punch on short distances.

that's looking nice! and yes, i'm always angry when a gun in a game takes so long to be reloaded but in this case it needs to be an awful thing to reload as it was in real life

yeah, we will cut on the realism, because 5 - 10 seconds of reloading time is not acceptable for must of us, but it will be still a pain in the A to reload it during a heavy firefight.

On another note, D13 gave one of the stock buildings we used for the middle and outer ring of the capitol a nice addition of details:

Thank you very much!

We are tweaking around with shader, color correction, bloom, fog and specs all the time - and still we are not 100% satisified. This is from the last nights sessions:

You can scroll through the Images on IndieDB to get a better impression of how its a constant change.

I truly believe that this game will set the bar for all future GG projects. Amazing as always, and keep up the good work!

THX a lot

Right now we are fighting on several fronts:

- The latest Steam build of GG brought bakc the inverted shadows bug
- The dialogue system is created in LUA
- We are touching the post processing pipeline both for improved performance and better visuals
- We are working on a state-based day / night cycle

After several days of tweaking around, testing, rewriting shaders inherited from the glorious days when Bond1 and UziIdiot gifted us with groundbreaking PostProcessing, we have something to show for.

Good morning from Austria!

As some of you, especially those who have already contributed to the game, may know, we are developing a smaller Unreal 4 Prototype next to the "Entire world" prototype made in GG. In the last week we started our hybrid asset pipeline allowing us to swap Assets from one prototype to another. Right now we are populating the GameGuru world with rocks, cliffs and mountains modelled for and polished in UE4 , with the goal to get those assets in without visible quality loss. Here some first impressions:

Wow, this is a quite positive response indeed

But these are only the first babysteps to synch the visual quality of both the GG and the Unreal track

lower ambience than surface light, combined with a quite bright fog with high intensity capped far at ~ 30 distance and set near at 5-6, and a custom post processing pipelien with adaptive Bloom / HDR, an abomiantion created out of old FPSC PostProcess shaders.

I wish you the best of luck in your efforts. The Kickstarter presentation is impeccable (friendly, practical). Yiur are one of the few fpsc developers that managed to finish the your game. (I was not able to do so ) For that reason alone, you have all my respect.

I wish the much luck and success.
