Happy New Year back at you, Duncan, and to all the members of this forum! You guys have been instrumental in my sticking with Reloaded and abandoning much of what resembled a social life! Each beta comes with it's own set of puzzles to figure out. While I have been able to figure out much myself, you guys have helped fill in the blanks. While there remain many more to be filled, it seems every day I log in here I learn something that I didn't know the day before or had long forgotten. The pool of talent and skill here is amazing. If I possessed 1 percent of this, I'd be a very successful game maker.
Happy New Year also to TGC. You guys are well on your way to making a gamemaker second to none in simplicity, and you are the reason we are all here! Each successive beta release leaves us with a series of challenges to overcome, problems to point out, and fodder for our imaginations. Not unlike a narcotic, once these fade, we are left anticipating our next beta "fix".
This next year will see more bugs stamped out, more cool features, and perhaps some documentation(?!). We will also see the Steam release of Reloaded. Much like the town I live in, which in the past 30 years has grown from a small farming community of about 5000 to a city of over 200,000, this forum will likely explode over the next year. Enjoy this small community while it lasts! And let's all promise to not be too harsh on the noobs!
