Scrolling down 4 pages of pictures to start each time is troublesome for me. The pictures are cool, but scrolling down every time is not. Is there any way to post the pics at the end of the page so we dont have to scroll down every time ?

Not sure what you mean, by scrolling down 4 pages of pictures. Where does an issue occur?

Every time. After I get done posting this, if I want to go to the top of the forum it starts off with a whole screen picture, then have to scroll down 4 full screen pictures " All different pics " to get to the start of the forum. I thought it was that way for everyone ? always has been that way.. ???

What browser are you using? Can you give me a screenshot so I know what I am dealing with.

Just scroll all the way to the top right now after reading this. or click forum home, product chat, etc. the top of the forum starts out with a full page of about 20 little blurry pictures all the same and taking up the whole page, then scroll down and it goes into a nice clear full page screenshot photo, then scroll down more to get to where you see Forums on a banner size pic, then Forum home, profile, messages (0) .

That won't work as I don't see that issue on any of my browsers. I will need a screenshot and info on what browser you are using.

Yes it looks just like that, but have to scroll down through pictures to get there. It does not start out with Forums and the banner like that. Starts with pictures, then scroll down to that there.

@Whyrag

If you are not going to supply a screenshot of what you see I will consider this not a bug and will just leave as is.

Interesting that doesn't happen on my IE browser.

What version as you using? Also do you have JavaScript enabled.

Same problem with the IE8 browser (I use XP Professional with SP3 and all framework, java or whatever is need, with the last version at all)

The forum works fine just with Firefox or Chrome browsers.

Please see the browser scroll position on the any right side of the attached pictures

Pictures orders from the left to the right: 1 -header of forum, 2- a little down scroll, 3 - next down scroll, 4 - scroll down again...

Maybe you must put in your forum header page (after the "<head>") something like this ?

BTW: I don't see it in your forum head page that code from my previous post...

That won't make any difference in this instance, that enables compatibility mode. EmulateIE7 would make the site render as it would in IE7 which is an older version so won't fix the issue. EmulateIE9 won't work as you have IE8 so that code does nothing.

The forums and any other TGC websites are designed for IE9 and above as they actually make an attempt to support modern browser standards. IE8 and below are outdated browsers and frankly crap. I will do my best to fix issues with IE8 and IE7 for those who are stuck with them maybe on a work machine. However this is not a priority as much better browsers are readily available for free.

Well...we use what we have, but it's frustrating for IE users.

Yep that does it....I just tried it...

Change your compatibility mode mate ...... That will sort it

You probably installed other browsers after and imported your settings as well so they all do it...

FireFox is very quick and works great. I just switched from IE a month ago, and my internet experience is much better.
Was Loyal to IE for a long time, but not any more.
