Spend working in my world sci fi package now the second part with more walls, floors, stairs and trim, but there are still many things to be added, but meanwhile I'm always posting pieces for you to follow and enjoy.

I wanted to add these to Reloaded files but it doesn't seem to work correctly ?

All the paths are all over the place....There are paths for AlfredX10 in the FPE file for instance that do not exist ?

Many of the models are not showing up for me in either pack ?

Can anyone else confirm pls ..

I didn't try this one but I know the world one I had to place the whole framework under the entitybank folder and then it worked fine.

I imagine this one is the same routine.

I will have a look at repackaging.......It just needs all the stuff for floors put in floors....all the stuff for walls put in walls etc.
It seems the .x files are in one folder, textures in another with the fpe getting very confused.

Im guessing AlfredX10 had it setup for his configuration and it works fine for him ?

Personal note:

All x files that are in a folder called mesh and textures in the textures folder, note how are editas the FPE is only you put the folder scifi world in the entitybank.

yes but some of your paths are incorrect....

for instance.... " model = entitybank\Alfredx10\scifi\mesh\scenery\floor d.x "

You have no "Alfredx10" directory in your pack........Its impossible for some models to work in someone else's editor ..

You have directories for mesh's , Textures etc so your fpe is constructed like this..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;visualinfo

textured = entitybank\Alfredx10\scifi\textures\scenery\floor1.tga

effect = effectbank\reloaded\entity_basic.fx

castshadow = 0

;orientation

model = entitybank\Alfredx10\scifi\mesh\scenery\floor d.x

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However....

If you put the model.x and the model.tga with the model.fpe in the same directory so the fpe's looks like this...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;visualinfo

textured = corridor1.tga

effect = effectbank\reloaded\entity_basic.fx

castshadow = 0

;orientation

model = corridor1.x

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They will work perfectly in anyone's setup...and its hell of a lot easier to do

The packs are great....I wanted to put them on Reloaded Files ( with your permission ) In fact I liked them so much I just spent the last hour rectifying them so they would work correctly in anyone's setup.... Also the curves required a "Collision mode =1" or you couldn't walk around corners.....I can mail you the rectified versions if you like.

Apologies my intention was to help not to offend..... The packs are great but will not work correctly as they are with "Alfredx10" in some of the fpe's if the directory is not part of the pack ....

Okay so when I throw the whole package I'll just leave the item name in the FPE file alright.

Basicly yes .... You can still have subdirectories like "Floors" but all you need to do is put the

floor1.x

floor1.fpe

floor1.tga

In the same directory...ensuring of course the floor1.fpe...... says ...Textured = Floor1.tga and Model = floor1.x...

then of course you can then add

Floor2.x

Floor2.fpe

Floor2.tga...and so on to the same directory ....Its so much easier than classic was to setup.

I have included the files I fixed below .... so you can check out the structure....These will work perfectly in anyone's setup

AlfredX10 has some made great packs here......Definitely worth a download

Just extract the zips and put the "sci fi world pack 1" and "scifi world pack 2" folders into your entity folder

They are also available on GameGuru Files under "Model Packs"
