Heya - first off, just want to say that Reloaded is *awesome*! I stumbled across it when looking for easy 3D game makers, and couldn't resist trying it out. It's very, very easy to use. My only complaint is that the games I have made with it seem to be rather laggy. I have a pretty decent computer, and almost all other 3D games run fine, but the games made with Reloaded just don't seem to run as well. Hopefully this will be fixed in an update...?

Anyhoo, I tried out The Escape, and thought it was awesome, so went ahead and made a pledge. However, I cannot find anywhere on the interwebs how to add menus like in The Escape. All my standalone games just go straight to the level.

Sorry if this is really nooby - I only got Reloaded earlier and haven't had too much experience with it! Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that feature is coming out in the next build. At least I hope so!

this is a relatively new software, and is still in beta at the moment, though performance work is being done to make it better for next release sometime in November . as for the title screen i am sure that will be doable later on, tgc save some of those bits just for them lol at the moment anyways ..
yes reloaded is very easy to use for the most part though people want it to look and feel more like other programs of the same sort i find it perfectly adequate as it is mostly. few tweaks and such as you would expect but on the whole its fine.
i hope you enjoy the product and look forwards to seeing some of your efforts in future
if you have any questions lots of fine folks here to answer them also..

if you would like to stay upto date with things as they develop my advice is to read the dev blog here

Actually, if you have made a stand-alone executable it will have template menus and title screens just like The Escape, but mostly empty with just stock graphics. To edit them and make the graphics unique to your game, you need to edit the files in photoshop or some other graphics application. The files are found in the Files/titlesbank/default folder and are arranged by screen resolution.

Oh yeah! How strange that I didn't notice that the first time...I could've sworn it went straight to the level XD Must've had my elbow on the enter key or something...

Thanks Tom, very helpful, and thanks for the info on how to edit the graphics. I apologise for my nooby-ness, I only tried the standalone once and for some reason I didn't see the start menu.

I will have a go at editing the graphics later; thanks again!

They are pretty standard .jpg files..... in folders named as 1280x720.....1280x800 etc and are individually named .....about.jpg, end.jpg, loading.jpg, and title.jpg
Just checked and they seem to open easily enough ?

The media in the standalone executables are encrypted, so they can't be edited or viewed outside the original. I believe you can replace them with your own. If you replace them in the actual executable's folder, of course, they won't be encrypted. If you replace them in GameGuru's titlesbank folder before compiling, then they will be. Be sure to back up the originals before doing so. You'll have to name your own accordingly, I'm sure. I did this very, very early on, before encryption was involved. Do this at your own risk! I'd bet eventually there will be an easier way to implement your own. Personally these would be among the last things I would do for the game anyway, and if you are that far along with a beta engine, I wish you the best of luck!

EDIT: syncromesh, (you were posting while I was typing!) I just tried opening them again and I can't, and I haven't been able to ever since they added the encryption. I can open them from the GameGuru's folder, but not from a standalone.

Jerry Tremble is correct... My directions were before encryption .... So it would be under the assumption you were creating a project and set up GameGuru specifically for your game ... Or just back up the originals to put back after.
